2? about spectrum 7000reciever+ICE speedo

Good Evening All,
firstly must you have the satelite reciever plug in to get it to work,as mine only works when the sat is pluged in,secondly is there still compatability problems between spectrum and ICE speedo.

Yes you have to have it plugged in.

No there is no issue with the Castle ESC?

On my AR7000/DX7
If you unplug the sat after the rx is working, it carries on working.
If you connect with sat unplugged it doesn't work.
If you connect with sat unplugged it doesn't work, and plugging the sat in doesn't make it work.

Its sort of good -that if the connection between main and sat is bad at power up then the fault is detected.

It may be that if you bind the main receiver without the sat plugged in it will work. I thought an AR6200 would work as an AR6100 like that.

The ICE series controllers have been out for quite a while in the UK, even longer in the States- Never, ever heard of compatability problems! What have you heard?

I may have gote it wrong,I read some where, there where problems with the spectrum and binding it may have been the V-Bar and not the ICE.

No worries, I'm sure I've heard of something like that with V-bar as well, but can't remember the exact issue.

Edit. I believe it was something to do with throttle endpoints changing when connected to V-bar, not really an ESC issue!

You should be good to go.
