Blimey, had to google that one, never heard of fly sky

I had a quick look at a download manual for an FS TH9X and all it gives is channel numbers for the reciever outputs but no indication of which channel is for aileron, elevator etc.

I would suggest plugging in a load of servos and going to the servo reverse menu where they are listed as AIL, ELEV etc and reverse each servo in turn and watch for which one moves and then make a note of the channel number on the reciever.

Ok, Shuttle is mechanical mixing and I guess that receiver is a Futaba?

It's been 25 years or so since I last wired a Pootaba receiver, but from memory (someone will soon let you know if I've got it wrong), it goes something like this:

            Ch1 Aileron servo
            Ch2 Elevator servo
            Ch3 Throttle servo
            Ch4 Gyro Control
Ch5 Gyro Gain (assuming you're using the gear channel to adjust)
            Ch6 Collective Pitch servo
Ch7 Governor (if you have one)

Rudder servo plugs into the gyro.

I could be miles off the mark being a JR man, but it might be somewhere near if you're lucky.

steve is correct on the futaba receiver plug layout

the shuttle manual will tell you which servo is which
if you don't have a manual google hirobo shuttle manual and you will find a pdf one

yes i know its a weird one, but it works well and as i'm just beginning i didn't want to spend to much on equipment, and for £60.00 for a 9 channel digital 2.4G transmitter that does everything a £300.00 plus unit does (ok maybe not as well but good enough) until i was sure i really want to get into it, (but it feels like a seed growing inside me lol) the more i get involved its seems the more its growing on me, its just learning all the basic stuff first (i.e. learning to fit a receiver ect ect) and you guys on here are very helpfull indeed

if the futaba or jr layout of servo's doesn't work then with the help of the shuttle manual use to following
i will assume you are using a left throttle tx (to tell if i'm correct the left stick should Not spring back to its centre on the up/down movement)

                    left stick
                    up/down = throttel
                    left/right rudder

                    right stick

                    up/down = elevator
                    left/right = ailerons

plug the servo leads into the receiver one at a time until you get the correct stick movement to servo movement

aall you then need to do is to set the correct direction of the servo
by the reverse function in the tx
the shuttle manual shows the directions of the servos

It looks like your FS is the same as other TX's badged under different names like Eurgle and Hobbyking.
There are a fair number of vids about yours and other clones on Youtube like this:

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1jc9Bx4x7s]YouTube - Eurgle 2.4Ghz 9 Channel Digital Programmable LCD Radio Gear Setting Procedure[/ame]

Not sure if they'll be of any help to you but you never know, there may be one in there somewhere that answers your question

well after connecting the rx as advised by steve (well i think i got it right) there seems to be a problem, as theres a kinda buzzing noise from the heli, like somethings not right, so i think ill leave it till i can get down the field and let someone take a look at it, as much as i would love to do this alone i dont want to ruin my heli, rx ect ect

sounds like binding, or in plain english, one servo is acting "against" the other. Either that or if it's only doing it once you've moved the sticks, it could be reaching the maximum throw and stopping against something "hard"
