What shall I do with my £250?

1.Buy kontronik jive 80HV for my Compass 6HV.

Or

2.Buy CC80 + FBL frames and FBL Head conversion kit for Compass 6HV and hope to get FBL controller for Xmas.

I'd go for option 2.
But if your happy to stay with a FB then go for 1.

Doesnt really help to much....but ive had very good success with CC ICE speed controllers and I now fly Kontronic. The CC will require abit of "tweeking" and the Kontronic is pretty much plug in and forget...

I'd get the Jive, if i had the option with a spare £250 that would deffo be my choice over FBL. I've heard of too many having issues with the CC mostly i guess due to what Kenny was saying. But then i've also no desire to go FBL.

Right I finally decided to get the Jive, hope its worth the money. Probably go FBL in the new year.

I have a working theory that if everyone here donated enough to give me twenty idntical set-up helis with no cost to myself...then i could get over that crashing fear...which I'm sure is holding me up...


..I mean just going our with a dozen 'disposable' helis and blasting away for a day (or less depending on the attrition rate).. would be good for me...sorta real-life phoenix

(oh and I'm quite happy to return any scrap at my expense..)

The thing is I haven't even flown the 6HV yet as the stock ESC burnt out on me as soon as I got it. So I decided I wanted to fly it first then see If I want to go to FBL. Also I would want to get a VBAR on it if I went FBL and and with xmas approaching I just haven't got the money to buy one. But saying that I will prob go FBL early next year just to see what all the fuss is about.
