  • Very young future pilot

    Hi

Just been flying a Blade MXC around my living room with my little boy Brandon, he's all of 2 years and 2 months and it's the first time I have let him try to fly it really.
OK he's not by any means in full control but already understands that he's controling it, he wants to constantly slam the throttle full up as soon as his Mum tells him "up" so it's bounced off the ceiling a few times tonight.
With my thumbs on top of his we can fly it round the room nicely and he laughs his head off at this, especaily when we are chasing Mum around the room:-)

A fun time for both of us.

    Cheers
    Bob

      Hey Bob.

I didnt think i would be long mate until i read you were teaching Brandon to fly. I am sure he will follow in your foot steps and indeed surpass your flying abilities ;-)

Watch out Curtis, you have a rival

Don't worry about the ceiling, I'm sure we can find someone to repaint it (pink maybe ?)

Why does it always persist down at weekends ?

              Awwww, such a nice post

however I am not at all surprised with your familly pedigree he is sure to be a champion by the age of six

I really hope teaching him to fly heli's will inspire him as much as your flying inspires me.

give him a big hug from me

Too right! Might not like it but don't knock the prospective income which is certainly not available for flying toy helis

I'm sure as a Pro footie player you can still fly helis as well as long as you don't tell your club what your hobby is

Will the lad get more than 10% discount when he buys his first heli from you?

I bought my oldest (8) a 450 and on his first flight was in good control of the pitch and rudder, I was holding the cyclic, but it was good for his first attempt. I was worried that he might just give it a fistful but he didn't and he was concerned about crashing it. I'm getting him into the club this year so we'll see how we go. On the sim it's a different matter, loops, rolls, autos, the lot. I've just left him to it and he's taken to it really well. Even my youngest has developed good control, again just left him to it.

I think your right not to push him, he'll take to it by default I think, after all he's surrounded by the hobby, bless him
