I knew it had to happen someday! I've finally crashed my beam e4! What a tough little heli, the only damage is a cracked main blade, cracked tail rotor blade and the auto rotation case has disappeared somewhere! I think I might have been helped out by a damp field!
I'm still trying to figure out what went wrong. I've been getting my confidence up (still pretty much a newb!) and have been doing the odd flip and have managed a personal bedt of 5 seconds inverted however when I was doing circuits I feel as though the rudder binded at full throw bringing the heli into an uncontrollable spin and an irresistable date with gravity and of course the ground! Glad I hit throttle hold in time!
To be honest I'm looking forward to fixing the heli (minus the expense of course!
).
Still though on the plus side I maidened my Outrage 550. I can't believe how stable that heli is!
I just have to ask everyone though because the thought has just struck me, does anyone ever get the feleing that today might be the day the heli crashes when driving to the field. I had that premonition! Oh well, best get the spares ordered and on with the repairs!
