First of all, what a wonderful weekend and it is fantastic to come back and see such nice support! Thank you everyone!
I don't know where to start, the whole 4 days were amazing, as well as an adventure!
Stu, Ade and Ely-Q!
I owe a massive thank you to Ade and Stu for meeting me at the airport, taking me around and arranging everything with Ely-Q, to which I also want to say a huge thank you to for paying for everything and being 100% brilliant support while I was out there, as well as putting on an awesome event very enjoyable for everyone!
Roger, Ade - Climb-Out!
Also I would like to say an epic thank you to the support over here in the UK from Roger and Ade at Climb-out, who supplied the model and spares and even most of the radio gear. Look forward to going up to Climb-out more often to see them and go flying! They were also a fantastic laugh out there, helping make it a wicked event! Hope next time I will do a little better for you guys
Rob, Pete - Team Evo RC!
On top of that there has been a huge amount of support from Rob at Evo RC and Squeaky Pete, Team Evo. I went to stay at Pete's many a time to do weekends of tuning and flying which has really helped, as when we go flying we both pick up tips off each other and improve vastly! Anyone who as seen Pete fly in the last month or so will know what I mean
Everything else that made it possible!
Thanks Trev for the suite case too! Haha it was defiantly big enough, as we found when my sis Mel managed to fit into it!
and thank you to Dad for taking me to Bristol and even coming to collect me!
The whole event was fantastically run, with an A* flying site! Lovely tarmac runway, perfect flying weather, loads of friendly people, what more could you ask for!.. Oh and the food, that was exquisite!!
On arrival in Italy we had the mission of finding the car rental place, once we had found it we were on the road, which was manic haha! Straight out into traffic, one and a half hour drive turned into a 3 and a half hour drive!
Then we arrived at the hotel, I was staying with Pierre who was french. Lovely fella, got very tired very quickly though! Fell asleep in the restaurant and wouldn't wake up!
The first day was very cold but the scenery was awesome! Lots of very good flying! And a fantastic atmosphere, with Stu and Ade putting on some awesome demo's, they're dual flight was brilliant. That evening was also a great laugh in the bar at the field with some music
Sunday was another awesome day, with the final 5 fly off's and then the victory flights. Was very good to watch and I throughly enjoyed it as did everyone else! That night we went out for a delicious meal where the food just kept on coming, never eaten so well in my life! Felt like I actually might put on some weight over there
Then, unwillingly went for a dunk in the pool.. almost
Saved by Roger
Haha!
On the Monday we all headed to the flying field once again, there was an auto comp, very basic one, just closed to the marker, add some points on for some variations!
Lots of people competed with there own models, except us, We had our own little UK team! Haha everyone from the UK, so Kevin Target, Ade Poole, Roger Hamilton, Stu and Ade Smith + Me all flew Stu's Vision 50, the now Team model plus Stu doing his first big auto's
LOL Made for an interesting laugh! Although I can't remember the places, I know that we didn't do too bad, Roger KING of Auto's
placing quite high if I remember correctly!
After that we headed off to the airport, all shattered and with it now beginning to rain.
Although there is soo much more to write, that just about sum's up a bloody fantastic weekend!
Thank you:
- Team Ely-Q
- Climb-Out
- Evo RC Team
- Everyone else for they're fantastic support! Really really appreciated!
Thanks, Charlie.
