        Okay here we go....

Now currently no iphone can suffer from a virus or trojan

Now if you have a Jailbroken iPhone you are at more risk as it alters the secure password information and can potentaly leave you wide open to attacks over wi-fi.

You should change network/datapassword and it'll make you secure again.

You are still open to all the same threats that web browsers are open to though.

and if the iphone gives you any concerns shut it down and reboot should clean itself and sort out most issues.

There are a few but very few on Mac OSX as far as the iPhone goes I've not heard of anything unless you jailbreak.

For Macs there is the odd trojan that can be annoying maybe 3-4 of them, no current virus in the wild as far as i'm aware.

Web browser is open to mostly the same attacks as other browsers

you can of course use firefox but that isn't perfect either.

When JB you are advised to change the root password with SSH, a tool you cant install without JB. Default /root password is alpine on all phones.
The apple kill switch is the only bug worth worrying about, and JB and installing bossprefs, then nutering the kill switch will fix that.
The kill switch allows apple to remote kill your phone, forcing a restore/update via the pc, normally actioned to make you instal latest software. This happened 4 times on my iphone before JB in 2 months. The 6months after JB it was faultless.
Apple OS works by only opening ports that are needed to run software, unlike windows which leaves everything open. This makes apple less likely to suffer windows like virii.

Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
