  • What a small world we live in.!!

Been looking for someone to fit a "Hands Free" kit in my car for work so I trawled the internet and found a guy from Leeds with 21 years experience in fitting these things with very good feedback and reviews.

Organised for him to to come at 9.30 this morning which he agreed and was here bang on time.

Spent around an hour fitting the device then decided to try the phone to see if it worked.

When he brought his phone out I noticed the screen saver was a T-Rex600 in flight..

I asked why he had that to which he replied his hobby which he was passionate about was flying RC Helicopters..

    How bizarre is that.

Needles to say I showed him my helicopters, also some pictures and videos of what goes on here at Stainburn so he is coming back to watch us this weekend.

    Small world eh.

Its not the most popular hobby by a long shot so that is actually quite cool.

He never mentioned posting on forums Tony, I would think the last couple of nights postings on here would drive anyone away but hopefully things will get better if people use their head before hitting the submit button.

I once was speaking to my bank, and the guy looking over my account asked me if I was into model helicopters, I said yes and asked how do you know? he said all I can see on the statements is model shops and paypal details and it looked very similar to his account, so he guessed that its only heli flyer like us that order stuff so frequently. He also turned out to be a Rappy 50 and Avant 90 flier.

I had something similar with a project manager from a company were doing some work for in Ireland. He saw my screensaver, actually one of yours Tim and the conversation started. He's got a Freya and a Raptor although he doesn't get too much time to fly. Came to the Masters in 2008, although it's as popular as underwater tiddlywinks it does have a committed set of followers.

We got 'er indoors scoobydoo fixed at Scoobyclinic at chesterfield last winter and when she got there to pick it up they were moving all the cars out of the shed so they could fly their 450s inside after work. They were keen. One was an MSH protos.
