Winter is closing in

Had the day off work today but managed to squeeze a couple of flights in before dark tonight.

At 5.50pm the light was pretty bad so decided to call it a day.

It was well worth it, I was flying out of my skin..

Anyone else still getting any flights in before tea.

Me, managed 4 flights this afternoon, engine seems to run so much better in the cold air. Had a ball, still flying as the Sun went down, lovely.

it's now time to get home from work and get in front of the fire to warm up. Down to 1C at 6:00 today. :-(

I've had today planned since Friday, but the Mrs & daughter are both off ill, so I had to stay in and look after them both ! arghh

You have my sympaphy, I was the same . but I sneaked out at 14.00 went to the wanstead club as its only 20 nimutes for me. I was having a ball. Second flite My 600 le had a little head shake so I landed ...........2 Seconds after landing as it was spooling down the blades and holders left the heli...WOW now thats what i call LUCKY Im doing the lotto this week..One of the bolts in the Feathering spindelmust have loosened and come out .

Had a bit of a hover to test the night flying setup but a flat rx battery limited the flight to 1/4 of a tank.

I'd sack the bloke that built that heli....very shoddy
