    defo in idle up and likely in both, initially looked like the HS was too low causing the problem.

    What are you thinking biggles?

      I'd go along with this, its a problem with a lot of helicopter designs, and I can't really see why manufacturers still make this mistake, its easy to avoid, if necessary they could just add a mechanical stop so it cant go past that point.
      Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

          I would check that no mixing or rudder offset has been enabled by accident first off.

          I would be then checking the limits to make sure the gyro isn't stalling the servo.

            thanks for replies guys, will check all this over first, and yes did it in normal and IU, nose went left, but why would the limits cause the tail to wag very slowly, and I mean slowly, it was slow but quite a big wag really.

                Also check your trim as it can be set differently based on which flight mode your in.

                    You only need a step dow if the servo can't handle 6v....ie JR.......What he is using can handle 6v

                        I have a few thoughts on this;

                        1. What pinion are you using and what kind of throttle settings? The thing about the Trex 450 is that the tail ratio does not allow enough tail authority until the headspeed is quite high (around 3000).

                        2. The lower the tail authority the more pitch that's needed so then the mechanical setup becomes more critical.

                        3. If that gyro is similar to the HK401B then it might suffer from an issue with some of those where the circuit boards inside can vibrate around. The fix for that is using a small bit of foam inside the bottom of case to keep the boards in place (or perhaps a dab of hot glue but the point being the sensor board cannot be able to vibrate around)

                          thanks for all your help guys and will check the whole thing over when stripping down and rebuiding, I did try in idle up with a greater head speed and this is when the crash happened, as it did last time also, tail is spinning the right way lol, I wondered whether it could be gyro damage, as until I crashed it first time everything was fine, then changed the airframe and put all my electrics on new airframe, and crashed almost straight away, maybe 2nd battery, but 1st battery didnt feel right either, so... I am just wondering now whether it could be either gyro or servo like has been mentioned above,

                          like I said, again guys, thanks for the help
