It is a flybar less system but it does give extra stability ( in my experience) will not help you fly any better but heli will be more stable

If you got a bunch og 3s lipos you can use two together to make a 6s

Ill tell you a 700 is a lot easier to fly but even more scarier, the shakes you get in the start hehe but what people seem to forget is how the human brain locks down when you're flying and orientations lost - this is why a 450 or a 500 size is a good start heli. But getting a quality 450 will also be quite a bit easier then the belt and ofc do less damage to you if it decides to get a mind of it's own and chase you a 700 will best case scenario put you in a hospital so until you get the adrenaline and so on you get in the start under control so you are able to put the heli in before it takes your arm off or the like a small helicopter is definitive the way to go. I do prefer the 500 size for smaller helis as it fly like a big helicopter and give you calm and confidence. Same getting belt drive instead of torque tube on 500 down will save you a lot of tinker time - personally I would not go tt on anything less then a 700 or a .90.

If you want the balance of best safety and performance to start with see if you can find a 500 with belt drive, fairly cheap on repairs and easy to fly even in decent winds that would be my advice for you

Alas you will find here, as in life, if you ask 10 people the same questions, you'll get probably 10 different answers.

However, your best route is to look into the answers and find a common theme. I think, if you do a little homework on the forum using the search facility, you will find a common theme here. And that theme is based around:

                      - flying CP helis is pretty darned difficult
                      - You've got a a good simulator (Phoenix is the weapon of choice in these parts)
                      - smaller, whilst possibly cheaper, is less stable (co-ax helis aside)
                      - whatever you buy, you'll want another one (bigger, better, more expensive) within a few weeks. But buy the wrong heli to begin with and you're in danger of becoming disillusioned, frustrated and skint

Here's a few links to get you started:

They are "ok" but from my experience you will have problems and possibly get frustrated. My advice buy align I too went down the clone route when learning, while they did serve a purpose I learnt lol

The belt CP is an ideal helicopter to learn on, if set up correctly. Its similar to a 450 and will get the basics for eventually buying a bigger machine. Its also not too expensive on parts.

The best thing to do is make sure your swash is level, blades are tracking correctly and then you will have a stable platform to learn on.

If I had my time again I would get a trex 500 instead of the 450, much more stable. And I defo would NOT get a trex 700 as my first heli, unless you have money to burn A crash will cost you ALOT.
My advice: 1. Pheonix. 2. Used Spectrum dx7+rx
. 3.Used trex 500 4. Lipo's for trex from hobby king. 5. Lipo Charger from Hobby King get a one with a fan in)6. Tools you will need 7. Maybe a carry case for trex? and lastly very deep pockets
                              Sab Goblin 500

My first ever heli was a Belt CP, although cheap to repair, was an awful design with the added "bonus" of nasty electronics.... I spent a year chucking money at it, then finally chucked it in the bin!

Moved onto a Trex450 with decent electronics and never looked back!

The point I'm making here is simple- ditch the Belt cos it will hold you back. Any of the machines already recommended will be brilliant, you'll just have to decide which one suits your budget and flying space.

                                Good luck with your choice.
