  • Webra .61 into T-rex 600 ?

Hey guys I have a Webra .61H sitting and a rex 600 air frame sitting idle.

With a little bit of work they will go together.

What kind of results should I expect from this ?

    Thanks

    Mike

I dont know the webra specifically , but I have had a 90 size and currently have a 70 engine in a 600. In short you will get more torque and less flight time!

Hmm cant remember off the top of my head what the os 70 has, but with the 61 you need to make sure that the extra weight is worth it for the extra power you are getting a 61 may well be close to a 55 but much heavier?

            Lol.

I might be mistaken, but I think he meant he's had a 90 size Webra engine in the past rather than a 90 in a 600.

Nope, wrong, you can get a ys 90st into a 600, but your fuel only lasts about 3 minutes - but my god it goes..

Easy Mod too - cut IIRC 15mm off the crank shaft and a cut a peice of the bottom plate out to allow for the exhaust!

my thinking is that its going to have more torque and mean the head speed can be lowered and wont bog as easily as say a revy 50/55

Hmmm i was thinking the same kinda headspeed using a bigger pinion if needed... im guessing the bigger engine revs lower...

Are they really fuel hungry then? any pics of this heli?

Well its just that yiu have a 90 with a 50 size fuel tank. The reason you use a ys91st is that it is a short stroke engine which revs higher than alot of other 90s therefor you dont need to alter gear rations at all. Not sure I have any close ups, but I may have some where you can see the mp6 exhaust on the side!

Not the most helpful pic for you, but you can see the mp6 on the yellow 600 compared to the mp5 on the red one. Problem i, Im the photographer so pics of me or my helis are rare.
