Need some ideas as to what to attach to the bottom of my tail fin as my pro keeps strippin gears

all in the landing, clear a clear area to land and try to land slightly on the front skids and should be fine
I would not attach stuff as it shifts the c of g on such a small machine

best not go down that route as james said, try to land nose first.ive seen to many botched tailfined helis go in.
Or if you must, put a 700 tailfin on it.

EDIT:forget that last part just realised your on about the 450 ha-ha!

              A fewtips that may help.

A small wedge under the rear U/C mount is better than a longer fin..it only takes a small amount to lift the tail up.

Yep cut the grass or use a board/mat or similiar and learn to land on the front of the skids.

Make sure on spool-up you zero the tail blades as they spin up. Once up to speed 'pop' the model up rather than mess around on the deck.

Didnt make a big difference after putting in a bit of wedge there only a small amount, better than nothin although I'd want to put something on the fin

Contrary to popular belief Pro gears are not easy to strip, they are in fact quite tough. If you keep stripping them you must be coming down heavy on the tail.

I have fitted a 500 tail fin as insurance as I land mine on roughish ground at the flying field. The only time I have stripped gears is when I have crashed.

Perforations - more holes in normal cf tail.
