  • Mikado Logo 400

    Hey guys,

I've bought a Logo 400 basic kit as this is going to be my next heli while I decide what nitro to get.

I have seen many a vid of the Logo 400 and it simply just looks incredible. I've seen many have the hacker motor and esc. I will probably go for the hacker but stay with castle creations for the esc as I like how they work.

For this one I will try my beastx unit from the 450 Pro but I am probably going to stick a vbar v5 on it.

Any idea's on servo's? Would 510's be okay or should I be using 9650's?

Anyone who owns one have any tips for me. Mine comes with the Vbar head.

    Thanks!

Sounds top banana, always been tempted by a logo.

I would go with 9650s personally. There are a set on BMFA for £90, never used just mounted.

Nice Dan, they are supposed to be awesome on vbar. Not sure on the strength of the plastic frames though but I assume they are fairly cheap to replace if broken.

Think I saw they were £16, not bad really.

Mine dropped from about 25 foot and was obliterated... The ds510s all broken gears and one case.

All that survived of the Heli was the head parts really, but it was a very smooth awesome Heli before that happened.

Tip of the day: use decent blades!!

I think you mentioned in the other thread that you'd cut tabs out of the frames for screwdriver access though?

Not sure if it would have made any difference in the end but it must have weakened the frames to some extent.

True, fit tge servos before you fit frames together to avoid cutting them!!

Yeah frames do look like a weak point but at £16 a pop, I'm willing to risk it. I will be using carbon blades so am hoping they won't let go in flight. A new Vbar 5 is about £230 so not much more than the beastX really. So looking forward to building it. Have just ordered 3 9650's. Now just need to figure out a decent tail servo, any idea's?

JR 8900G tail servo or the Futaba BLS tail servo, forgot the code. Both work equally as well. In my Logo 600 I run the 8900G and have had no issues just spot on performance with v-bar!
