Help a young lad

There's a young kid that has been coming to the flying field over the summer..polite, helpful..who has been helped to buy a copy of pheonix but needs a controller for it.

So anyone with an old gash tx that they don't use/want..even one that won't transmit but will work with pheonex that they'll donate?

I'm happy to paypal a few quid at postage etc.

I gave away 2 old Esky tx's last year for similar use for other folk to use and haven't anything left here that'll do the job

got a futaba t8ups transmitter he can have, works ok its just the idle up switches have broken off (i caught them putting it into a tx case and they snapped off) it has the round din socket

That'd be fine, ta.. anyone got a round phoenix lead? I think I've got a spare futaba square one (have to check it works that I could swap)... not tats it's an issue for the cost of a new lead...

Its all there apart from the Tx.
I found this in the river about 2 months ago, Got it home and cleaned it up, Washed all electronics out and dried them in an airing cupboard. They all worked. The nose cowl is broken and a wheel and aileron flap is missing and needs a new prop and rod for the wings. its a polystyrene affair. 50" wingspan.

Shouldnt cost more than a few quid to get in the air.

I put an advert in a few local shops and asked around but no one has claimed it.
So i guess its his if you want it !(unless anyone recognises it !)

it's a kind thought but the lad (wisely) is into helis
Also while it's one thing to help him get his phoenix working I don't want to start getting accused of giving him too much (sad world).

I've got a PC and flat screen spare here (we upgraded some stuff at work) but decided that that could look suspicious <sigh>)

..which reminds me to get that setup and checked.. perhaps that can be homed through these forums rather than binned

I considered going to see his parent(s) (separated) but even that can end up looking dodgy in this day and age.
What I think I'll do is give him a note to his parents saying it's here if they want to collect it for him when i give him the tx and lead..they can meet the wife etc then
