It looks like one of those games were you will get bored after a while.

DCS: Blackshark < A beast of a simulator
"Anger and Frustration bring the best out of my flying ability.. because generally I don't give a shit either if the machine hit's the deck or stay's in the air - both will accomplish satisfaction, but most of all it exerts the feeling of flying conservatively. - Callum"

Just a slight correction there, I think you meant to say a HUGE learning curve.

So its going to last, its from the same people who made LOMAC, and they are supposedly (last I looked) working on an Apache add on for Blackshark, AH-64A model unfortunately, not the D, but its still an apache, and should be good if they include a GW1 map and campaign.
Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

Yup they're almost done with A-10C update. They're also doing an F-16C, AH-64A and eventually a true dynamic campaign, like the good old Falcon 4.0 days

I was well disappointed with the last flight sim I bought, "Wings of Prey".
It looks great but plays like an arcade game.
In fact the missions only really work in Arcade mode.
I thought that coming from the Il-2 stable it would have had better gameplay but no.

I'll just have to wait for Storm of War:Battle of Britain to eventually be released. Due in November but some hopes of that ...

Largely lost interest in gaming of any kind since returning to RC.
Still, there's always the long cold winter ahead.
Plenty of time then to dust of the TrackIR.

Still hanging on for SOW:BOB for the time being.
Might even be tempted to go for DCS:Blackshark but it would have to be in easy start mode ... all those switches ... strewth!

Yup TrackIR 5 is good, that's the one I went for.

Even when there are no specific drivers for a program, the generic set-up works fine.
I even got it to work with the old BoB2:Wings of Victory, not in full 6DOF of course but well enough to dog-fight with.

Works well with all those sims on the top row in the pic.

There's a free French head tracker out there too if you want to do a bit of DIY with a webcam and some LEDs on a baseball cap.
I just wanted something that would work straight out of the box.
