WOOHOO I can do piro flips

Today i went flying & suddenly i decided to have another try at piro flips. I've not tried them since my attempts earlier in the year with my 450 that just resulted in a wobbling 450 lol. Well i've lately been practicing them a lot slower on the sim so i'm thinking more about the controls rather than just stir & hope (which does work). So today i went very high with my Logo tail in, started a foward flip with left rudder then continued from tail in inverted back to tail in upright. It went so smoothly that i done loads more. I've not felt that new move buzz like this for a very long time. I was pleasantly supprised at how i managed to make my logo do a piro flip & the result looked EXACTLY the same as on the sim.

I have recently got back into the sim and am hoping to start putting some of the moves into the real thing sometime soon.

It takes me bloody ages before i decide to try something for real. I have to be almost 100% confident i will be succesfull or i wont try it.

very good,mate - will have to pop down and see the new move! When all conditions are perfect, it certainly helps when trying new stuff. I think it's the nicely mown heli pad thats helped you along.

Hope to get down the field myself for a few flights, but not for ages now. I'm on Jury Service for 2 weeks

Can only do half ones lol. still trying to get back up from inverted.

Nice one. I can just about doing flipping piros but certainly not piro flips.

Lol they are addictive :-)
I've just started putting the full inverted and upright rotation in, to form the full piro flip.
The piro flip opens up sooo many nice transitions happy days :-)

That's exactly why i could do them lol, I got called up for jury service years ago. I didn't want to do it so i told them a friend was due in court & that was the last i heard from them. If it's at winchester then i fill the coke machine for you lot in the rerst area.



Right, my piro flips is a half flip to inverted then same again to upright BUT doing them looks nothing like a continous piro flip which seems weird??. As for opening up transitions...hell yea. I done my 1st transition today doing foward flight left to right then a half PF to tail in inverted, then came back doing backwards inverted right to left & then started aileron tic tocs as it was going past,,,,it's mental that i can do that at last I was also working more on my 4 point tic tocs, just having trouble getting the smooth transition through the nose down section
