As the title says, which driver sets (hex, slot, star etc) do you buy, The last two years I’ve brought a set from maplins, the handles tend to come apart after a bit and shaft are a little soft which results in them bending etc. They’re only about £15 for a set of assorted drivers so value wise i think they’re ok. My current set is looking a little worse for wear, I was thinking about buying something decent this time round, anybody got any suggestions ?

TBH I got the Align driver set ages ago and they still fine and I have built many a heli in a relatively short period.
As for others I have added from various sources none have been that bad with the exception of 1 set I brought from Buzzflyer. What a load of shite they were!!!
I have other tools from snap on, the little one man band tool wagon that comes here and a few different unbrabded from the internet.

I like my Hudy drivers personally.
After those, I would go for the EDS drivers.
Very good quality and cheap replacement tips as required.

I've used these for years now. Only downside is having to change bits, but hey, they're top quality

I have mostly stuck with the Helivol tools, you know the ones that come with the triple set of pliers and pitch gauge in a nice aluminum case. They were around £35 i think. Defiantly worth the money.
Now that i have started building and servicing a lot more i have just invested in some swiss tools hex set, but they aint cheap, around £40 for a set of 10 Allen keys. Also for individual tools with a handle, they are around £5-10 each, but the quality is great.

+1 for EDS and Century Uk the best tools i have used so far. EDS are top dog, but century 4 for £10 are as good as the best and best value and quality 99% as good as EDS
the worst
