  • Which Glow ignitor?

I was looking for a glo ignitor and I was thinking of either the switchglo pro or the Gryphon. Midland Helicopters Ltd FieldAccs_RemoteGlowAda

Does anyone know how these compare apart from the price?

    Thanks.

I've been using the Gryphon unit for a while now. Simple to setup and install. You set a switch on your Tx to ignite. There is no timer, so it is on while the switch is on. Once running, switch off and away you go.

Switchglo Pro has a timed glow, so if you don't get started in time, you need to re-switch. Might not be an issue for some of course.
Otherwise, they work much the same.

Gryphon unit is cheaper too... and available
      Cheers,

I like the Gryphon auto boost, very neat, like the man said no timer.

I use switch glo pro and have no problems,

If you have a spare channel you can set it up not to glow unless at low stick, so no hot start !!!

You can also use sitch glo with a push button, unfortunately that is at extra cost.

I'd say the Gryphon, and if you have a free channel for the switch & or mix works great.
                  As dose the Gryphon regulator.

I've been using one the push button one by perfect regulators Fast Lad Performance , works well. I've previously tried the switchglo but I could never get it to work correctly, switchglo and their reps couldn't (didn't want too) help much.
