I would be interested in seeing them...I've also suggested elsewhere (in the Phoenix forum) that recording done by an examiner in Phoenix would be cool - you could fly along with the recording to make sure you can do it

        Yes defo.
When i did my practising i just had to do it of my own back without anyone that had a B to guide me through, in fact i had never even seen one done up to the day i had my first attemp and charmouth, seeing a vid would of helped to understand exactly what a examiner wants to see

I think it's a fantastic idea. I've asked questions about the tests from those who've taken it & then read what's involved & i always then think there's not a hope in hell i can do either. It all sounds so F3C precision to me?? I also read about only getting a stupid time limit for changing a lipo mid test which imo is just not realistic. So yes a video of the test's would be a huge help for me personally. I'd expect the candidate though to be a B cert pilot already as filming an actual test would not be fair.

Yes it's a great idea and very useful to be able to see exactly whats required. I'm surprised someone hasn't already done it.

              Where did you read that?

              The guidelines say

It should be possible to fly the test on one tank of fuel or flight battery but If the model does have to be refuelled or the flight battery changed then the pilot must clear this with you before the test starts as required by the test procedure. It is allowable only once during the
test and anything the pilot does during this time must be considered by you to be part of the test. This includes the way they land, retrieve, carry out and take off. With i/c models the correct re-fuelling and start procedures must be used, For electric models, isolating the flight
battery before carrying the model in and not re-connecting until the model has been carried out to an appropriate safe point are important.
No mention of a time limit.

Yeah, this would be good. Back when I was practising for the A test I searched everywhere for some video and never found anything. Video of the B would be more useful.

If we were closer I'd be more than happy to shoot some video with a high quality DV camera I have use of and / or fly some of the moves myself (some of the B I can do but some would be too sloppy as yet )

im willing to do the flying in the video.
i think its about time there was a youtube video so pilots have a better idea or understanding of the a/b cert.allowing them to practice for the tests.
if you guys thinks its a good idea then i will do it,ideas welcomed

                      cheers craig

It would be cool to record an A test from different angles, like an aerial view

Great idea, I wonder if BMFA would endorse it too so there is no argument about whether it is done right? I would be willing to video in High Def and postprocess with commentary etc, but would need to be fairly local to me.

I like the idea of doing it from above also, if anybody has an AP quad who would volunteer?

im willing to do it,BUT yeah anyone who feels able to preform the manoeuvres and i would say a bmfa examiner or two bmfa examiners really.
and if the bmfa want to endorse it then great because there is so many different variants for examiners but following the bmfa had book would be good start lol
is there anyone else interesting in doing it or is it just me lol
