Heli flying was great but not enough. Interestingly much more interest from spectators than the same old boring plank stuff when the Heli guys were on.

Please please please DB sound retire asap it's just embarrassing now.

Trade stands were disappointing with very little Heli stuff but I was half expecting that. I wanted to buy a BeastX but no chance. Also wanted to get some Atom spare but Westonuk didn't bring any Heli spares.

Got to agree , the heli flying was great, but as usual not represented enough. The crowd were well up for the helis and most of the plank stuff was just crap - crappy old models pottering about not even looking nice while they did it.

As for DB sound he didn't have a Danny La Roux about helis, only knowing the name of one move and if he'd have said "can you see it children" one more time, I would have stuffed his mic up his arse.

Also the stalls were very disappointing alot of them were charging the same if not more than store prices and no one wanted to do a deal, not what I expect anyway. I might have to give this a miss next year.

Sitting round the camp fire now, chilling out after the days flying anyone down tomorrow, come say hi, I'll either be in an optifuel t-shirt or a synergy t-shirt and flying my Opti-N9.

Back home after a great weekend The weather today wasn't quite as good as yesterday, was very overcast and a bit blowy all day, but that made for some awesome carnage! The planks were going down in quick fashion, lots hitting the trees, lots hitting the deck very hard, and lots of mid-airs

We had another 2 slots, first one, Dave Saban "GIZMO750" on here, had a very fast dumb thumbs moment, think he said it lasted about 3 seconds before he stuck it in, real shame as the canopy was very nice. Still, he got his second machine out and flew that in the second slot and enjoyed it. I had a couple of decentish flights, little cramped on the flight line, but made the best of it with what I could. Danny Lock flew in the mid-day AHA slot and had his boom shear off of his 700 at the boom clamp, and it went down pretty hard

All in all, really enjoyed it, and camping was great fun with all the lot from my club, and Charlie Cave. Charlie has a few stories to tell, I'll leave that to him (but if anyone wants to text/pm him asking what happened on the friday night, then feel free ).

Less than a week til the 3D Champs now, feck feck feck feck......

had a great day and jamie did have a couple of great flights considering the conditions .big highlight was having a full size heli doing piros and almost full stall turns but the amazing thing is the pilot is 78yrs old wow.he even did some pirouetting on one skid and charlie wants to know who spilt the beans(jamie) oops
