model shop rant

after serching for ages to find a shop that had all the bits i needed to get my 600 back in the air the package arrived today with an invoice showing all the bits bar one had been delivered but when i ordered everything was in stock i even had an e.mail saying that the parts had been sent now i have to order one gearset and the postage is as much as the set, hence the reason i spent ages looking for a shop that had all the bitsthey havent even said if the set is on back order or if it is to follow. now if i had of known they did not have the part i would not have placed the order it just makes me mad .

unfortunatley the shops are not open late at night when i have the time to call them which is usually after 6 when i get home from work but they were the only shop to show every thing in stock.

True a call takes seconds, but they should explain in more detail so you havent got to call them..and your not likely to use them again if there not up to scratch ...well i wouldent anyway!

I've had this a few times... best service I ever got was from Heliguy () with some 450 parts where they wrote a little note saying they were sorry but they were actually out of stock of a part so they had taken it from a kit for me so I could get back in the air again - i was impressed

I'd order again if their forums weren't closed / unsearchable etc.

I do feel for the smaller models shops, but taking money and not delivering the items is just taking the ****, had exactly the same with Galaxy Models..

Placed an order a month ago for 4 balance boards for my Lipro charger. Received and email after I paid asking what I had ordered?! A few days later my parcel had arrived with one missing.

Phoned them 3 times now, with 'ill look into it' blah blah blah....

...still yet to receive it.

hi paul .the thing is they changed the invoice to reflect this but i wish they had of e.mailed me saying they did not have the part but i should have known better as the same model shop left me waiting before but it was over 18mths ago and i was hoping they had improved but i will be weary next time as it will cost me more postage I will try and call them and see if they will offer me free postage if they do get the parts in.

why is it not worth a moan as they take our money so we should expect a decient customer service .

I know exactly what you're experiencing. Almost 2 weeks ago I went into my LHS and asked about Rototech 720mm blades. Was told they were in stock with the supplier and I'd have them by the middle of the following week.

I was in the US and priced Radix FAI blades. It worked out I'd probably only save about £4.00, so did not get them. Went into my LHS after my trip (about 10 days after placing the order) to find they did not have my blades. I was told that they had ordered these 3 times before and not received them. I phoned up another shop about the radix blades and was told they had no stock. However, the shop took my number and 45 minutes later, I got a call saying my blades would be in the next day. Now that's the sort of service that will keep me supporting local dealers.

The LHS that let me down are not worth a louder rant. However, the shop that organised the Radix blades is TJD near Dartford.

the shop in question has a good reputation but its good to know that others have had simular probs so in reading threads like this they may try harder to look after their customers but these sort of issues are very frustrating and i do hope they have a serious look at how they deal with selling stock that they do not have as like most people that work during the day we tend to order on line but when the shop checks their orders in the morning they should then confirm weather or not they have the goods
that way we at least wont be as dissapointed and can then cancel and order elsewere.
