If Im not wrong, that looks like a 2 channel heli spinning violently moving up n down. And it looks like one of these. A + B it has got to be one of these:

      DragonFly 2-Channel RC Helicopter

Please correct me if Im wrong. Was just trying to help.

      Cheers mate,

EDIT: If I may, mate... dont do the same mistake twice and get another one. I presume, its for your lad... read around here or ask in another post, there are better helicopters he will have more fun with - helicopters that can actually be 'controlled'. Just a suggestion

ive seen a few 3 channel ones like these in a local gadget shop for the same money as that, at least there will be a bit more control there for your lad

As a model helicopter they are crap as they teach you almost nothing (except how to walk).
Pay the extra and get one with cyclic control which will allow him to learn to control it it the direction you want it to
For outdoor on a not to windy day a CX2 would be the way to go

A long time ago someone brought one of these to the local indoor club, at least back then the tail operated the wrong way round, left stick moved the tail left not the nose left, even so it wasn't that good even allowing for that (no control really, and just got in everyone elses way) but what do you really expect for £20-30?

Like Kwickkwack said, if you want him to learn then get something else..... anything else..... but if you want to just get a toy for a bit of fun then I guess another one will be just right.

To really learn/have some measure of control, a 4 channel fixed pitch is the minimum, but they're not that good outdoors unless its flat calm, for that (and british weather) 5 channel is the minimum really, though they wont bounce as well as those 2/3 channel helis.

Think a simple picco z is more controllable than that thing. At least you will also be able to fly around the living room, have pretty good control over it, more crash resistant, and is cheaper.

Tbh, buying one of those things is not dissimilar to taking you money, throwing it in the air and watching it blow away.
If you want to get your lad a cheap heli to have fun with your far better off buying a 3 or 4 channel indoor coaxial. At least he'd have a degree of control and there quite good fun
