I bought a flasher450 from wingswheelsandrotors.com.It seems ok apart from the recess in the tail boom goes into the tail rotor end rather than into the tail boom mount,Which mean the tail boom twist when in use.I'm waiting on spares, then I'm going to try putting some ca glue on the tail boom,as advised on here,I'll let you know how i get on.

On the whole it looks good and cost half of what the trex would have cost.
In case I forget to thank anyone Thanks In advance

I have got a flasher 500 and its very nice, flys nice and money spent on this meant i could upgrade all elec bits beyond what comes with the esp version and overall saved about £100-150 in total.

Only paid £100 for heli, blades, esc (now upgraded), motor (now upgraded) of BMFA, i got a real bargain, just needed to buy servos, gyro to get me in the air (already had a rx)

Also the screws aren't to great I've had two of the screw head snap.Don't know if its something i'm doing wrong or if its the screws but, both screws snapped when I was removing them,If they were going to snap i'd have expected them to snap when tightening them. Will be replacing all the screws with genuine align ones to see if I have the same prob,

Maybe there was to much thread lock on them, either that or the metal they were made from wasn't to good, just dont know.

I'll answer before we get the usual clone bashing - they vary greatly in quality. I have a Coptrx 450 that flies really nicely - I've had it for about 18 months and it has taken a hammering without complaint. I also have a clone Copterx 450 (yes, a clone of a clone) from eBay and othr than a couple of parts that were very sloppy and replaced with ALign bits it is very nice also.

My suggestion would be to go to eHirobo and get a real Copterx 450 - about $60 plus shipping (reasonable) for a full CNC + Carbon fibre heli that flies very nicely - I would avoid getting the bundled electronics but go to HobbyKing and get stuff from there - they have some very well priced, low cost stuff. I see no poin tin buying a low-cost heli and fitting it out with expensive electronics

I bought one almost as a joke and turned out to be very impressed. You d have to realy take everything apart and check t, accept there may be ne or two dodgy bits you'll swap..but for the money and the remarkably good qaulity it's hard to beat. And I've got mine flying with $5 servos and a turnigy plush esc too..(but a quark gyro!)

I bought a second one for spares that I'll probably build when the clone futaba 2.4 rx's get in stock...

I bought a flasher 450, put £12's worth of cyclic servos and £30's worth of gyro and tail servo combo, put an old Align motor in it with a decent ESC and it does it's job admirably, I've had no trouble with it falling apart and have to say it is all rather good. Except that is for the main gears which are shite.

Where are you getting servos from at that price?

Ebay Tower Pro 90Mg's. Bought tail servo, clone/copy DS410, fine mate. They don't centre particularly well but not bad enough for you to really notice it.
