  • Extreme Power Lipos

I purchased a pair of extreme power lipos recently
I fitted them to my mini titan which has a stock 400lf 2800kv the head speed was to slow on the 11t & 13t pinion so I fitted the 15 which made a 100% improvement.
Its a 2200mah but only charges to 1500mah & you can tell when its in the heli as the headspeed lasts around a minuet or 2 before it starts the tail wagging the other lipo is fine & will allow me to hover for about 8 mins or so.
I have just got myself a cellpro 4s & the cells in that pack were a little out of balance by about .3v ish I think one was 4.19 the other two 3.9 something. I ran a discharge cycle on my shultz & then charged with the cellpro & its added about a hundred milliamps but is still well under 2200mah

If the pack is only taking 1500 in a charge, that puts it at about 70% capacity (just under), which is well stuffed.
I would guess the pack was a duffer if it's died so soon after purchase.
It could be worth chasing up a replacement from the supplier.

    Cheers,

Ive sent them an email explaining the situation.
I'm happy with the power I get from one & I realise just hovering around probably puts a little more load & heat into the lipo but I'm just trying to rule out my use of it as to its demise does anyone think that the set up is accessive? each pack has had less than 6 cycles to date

        6?
Good grief - packs should last longer than that by a huge margin.

I think your setup is among the standard setups out there from what you've said.
        Cheers,

Yeh not many cycles as I had a pair of them & Ive been out about 3 or 4 times at the most so very few cycles.
I didnt feel my setup was to radical & the head speed was senceable.
          Cheers for the help Rob

My pair of 18c 2200 xtreme power lipos are at about 30 cycles each and still pretty good. My mortor is a 2500 kv and I use a 14T spinning at 2800 and they last 7 mins of mild 3D. however these batterries have started to gass a little, just a little. They are not as hard as they were.
I have a pair of maxamps 2200 hv and they run a fair bit cooler and seem much better. They were nearly as cheap as the xtreme power.
