  • Well... it finally happened!!! - BOOM!!!

    Well.. Thats me popped my crash cherry!! Oops!!

    I put my Raptor into the deck after the wrong input during practicing nose in. So, the damage so far

    Tail blades, boom, main blades, flybar so far! The paddles are scuffed but I don't think they need replaced. Is there anything else that may need replacing that may not be obvious to see?

    Also, should I buy upgraded parts or OEM?

    And finally when it crashed the battery disconnected, so the power was gone but the engine was still running. It thrashed around for a short time (not fast) so will clutch, engine etc need replacing?

    Many thanks in advance for any advice you can give me..

    The engine and clutch should be fine I would think.

    Other things to check are;

    Tailrotor shaft
    feathering shaft (almost certainly bent if the main blades went)
    check for general split links and check all servos for stripped gears.

      Similar crash to mine, I needed :

      Blades
      Flybar
      Boom
      Tail Pushrod
      Tail rotor case assembly thingy wotsit
      sacrificial gear for my tail servo.

      Most of which i got in a crash kit. My mainshaft looked fine as didaa the feathering shaft, but I swapped them out to make sure. Turned out they were both fine.
