Wouldn't trust a clone for radio bits, although how can they use the name 'Fasst' without being in copyright laws?

They do carefully state 'compatible with faast' and that it isn't 'faast'....so presumably can decode the faast system then finagle a slightly different way of using that signal to bypass the copyright. Also presumably the same sort of idea as software that (say) can read a windows word doc file and save in doc format but uses a native processor for actually writing the letter and a different default..?

With futaba rx's at £65+ I can see me trying one of thse ona cheap clone heli or plank as opposed to risking a £1500 pukka job...

(ugh! just realised I suggested a plank!)

Only says it's FAAST compatible it also says in the blurb that it isn't a Futaba rx nor a copy of one As for it being safe to use I'd say it's probably ok. People forget when we were all on 35mhz there were loads of rx regularly used that were not made by JR, Futaba, Hitec etc. But worked fine and in some cases better

..if you linger over the pre-order page then you get an offer at $29...so I've ordered one to try on one of my cheap clones.. worth the gamble at that price..

Read this Review: FASST Compatible Reveiver for a review, it actually seems pretty good.
