  • Parkhall Thank You :)

    Hi All,

Just got up after another really great weekend at Parkhall 3D cup and I would like to say a few thank you's.

First one has to go the event organisers. Paul and his merry men who put on a superb event. Very friendly relaxed atmosphere and great competition format using the 3D format. The 2 day, 2 rounds style I like alot. I always enjoy this one as it keeps you pushing on, yet still remains relaxing having the 2 round system. Thanks guys.

Next is for all the people that helped me with my slightly sick running heli. The 'EvoRC pit crew' as they are now named. Mike W, Squeaky Pete, Charlie Cave, Pedro and Rob Blake. Thanks guys, there is no way I could of carried on in the comp without ya.

Edders, Thanks for the loan of the your 600 in the first freestyle round. Even though you wouldn't completely trust me with it on my own

Pete A and Matt G. You two have a great little battle going on there. Neck and neck all the way guys. It was exciting to watch Well done chaps. Barney you flew very well mate, very technical. I reckon I might be nicking a few of those moves

Adam, hard luck dude. You are seriously closing the gap now mate. You put on some exciting flying and entertained us all. Especially with the Rappy 50.

Congrates to Duncan for his victory............You are a machine

Congrates to young Alex for winning the Clubman Cup. All weekend it was very close that whole league and was a joy to watch the new guys stepping up to the mark. But in the end the young man did it. The quote of the weekend though had to be when Alex said 'Are you happy I won Daddy ' Nearly had to get the Kleenex out for that one.

Jason Platts and his tribe. There is only one JP. Thanks for all your help this weekend. I know you to where plagued with problems and had a 'Small' pile of carnage to take away, but even still you managed to find the time to help everybody else out aswell. nice mate. PS I will ring yous in the week, cause I think most of the parts on my heli belong to you

Finally, Pedro.........Dude, gutted you missed out on the 1st. What more can I say. You flew really well all weekend. Sets in the final let you down a little however you should be really proud of you achievements this year. I've got to say though a massive thanks to you for calling and working with me on my flying over the past couple of months. Means alot that you gave up some of your own time to help me....Thanks

For everybody else that I caught up with, Grant, Stefan, Tolly, Andy, Matt, Dave Lloyd, MoJo, all the Scottish crew. Always a pleasure meeting up

Sorry for the long post but I really had to thank lots of people.

Till 'Champs' in a month or so guys

Yes, congratulations to Paul and all the Park Hall team for putting on such a great event. A great atmosphere and some fantastuc flying by everyone.

The competition was really close. Congrats to Duncan for winning and Adam for such a close battle - and beating Duncan in the final Freestyle! There were lots of battles going on all the way through the ladder, with positions changing regularly. And only 33 points between 8 and 11th positions - this made it very hard to judge.

Also big congratulations to little Alex - good solid flying through all rounds with a good mix of technical flying and showed he can bring it in low when needed for his victory flight.

          What a great weekend

Can I add a well done to everyone that took part and even turned up!

It makes the whole weekend worth while.

Matt, Its more like a 1st place for you, if there had been a inters class so, well done.

Mr lison, Top man and the guys, You guys and girls(Food area) held a great event.. think I owe you some money for the hub and sure other stuff let me know mate..

Note for next year, turn flight line ten deg to the right get away from the Sun in the late afternoons, move the tents up the other end...

            Stops you judges going blind.

Sat down with a score-sheet with the judges, Bit of a training day for the future... wow total respect!

Its easy you think to look at a flight and call whats wrong and whats right.
but then to work out the numbers and order they should be, when there is 20 30 40 pilots.. hard with just 8 in the clubmans and I know just how hard now. Hats off gents too yer..

The Evorc gang, That means you as well Mike, Just great that everyone pull out all the stops to help anyone that needed help.. thanks

JP and the gang, it was nice to help you out for a change... did look like a Align war zone at one part though mate..

It felt like old time changing engine on models and all the rushing around having a window of 10 Min's, strange for months the models work without a problem, then the law of sod comes along.

Duncan is a robot.. Adam think you tried everything ditch, tree, hedge, Its so close mate.. as said before, every one had there own little battles from top to bottom.

            Clubmans top effort, gents

Pete you flew well man and just one mistake when your both top of the game was the difference but the little man took the pressure.

Just showed in the victory flight and when Edders talked him through a blade stop auto

            Cheers Rob

Only managed to make it for a few hours on the Sunday afternoon as it was our clubs fly-in day but saw some great flying again. Felt sorry for Jason Platts though, as he seemed to be having a bad day (until he won the Gaui 200 that is).

It was nice to meet up again with most of the hard working Park Hall committee and members (Bob Radcliffe was noticable by his absence again though -too many stateside holidays) who provided another excellently organised event.

Looking forward to visiting the scale events now at Midland next Sunday and Park Hall again on 5th September.
