  • Motor lubrication.

    Hi Guys,

What should i be using to lubricate all the motors i have in my helis.

Something to be honest i have never done.

Can someone please tell me how and what is the best they have found.

    electric or nitro,

electric doesnt really need much lube unless its done alot of work, therefore it needs a bit of grease in the bearings or new bearings,

nitro, some fuels have cleaning agents in them.

Regarding Nitro: There are varying views and every fuel has different levels of "additives" built into it to help lube the engine as it runs but lots of people like to use after run oil at the end of the flying day just to keep the engine coated and lubed up. I'd definitely recommend using it if your going to leave the model siting around unused for any length of time.

      Something like this:

A drop of scorpion oil once a week will keep the bearings good, thats if you can access them easily enough....the scorpion motors are easy to lube as you can get to the bearings easily enough

If it is not a Sorpion motor do not oil the bearings as you will do more harm than good.
