  • A lesson Learnt

Have been learning loops this weekend , done loads of them today and yesteday getting them really nice!!

After a bit of lunch after getting egged on by the lads, Mainly fixed wing flyers! i plug the lipo in to the mini titan , have bit of a shake out fly then proceed in to loop! Going nice and fast pull up , ease the collective, Bummer didnt select idle up 1 ! all going horribly wrong and falling at an alarming rate i manage to get the head speed up and right ther model and recover with litrally 20 feet to spare!

    God i almost poo,d myself

big lesson learnt there which luckily didnt cost me any cash just a lot of P**s taking lol

You're lucky. I managed to to bin my Rex again with some back garden flying. Didn't seem right when flying, was trying to get my blades in track. Obviously did something wrong. I had to add at least 75% to get it off the ground then just went a bit erratic, headed toward the fence, dumped it... Smoke from the motor.... Great!

      Another cost <sigh>

      Costing to much atm
      Cheers

Recently I stopped taking off in normal. I spin up, switch and then give it a stab of negative and check it pushes down before I take off.

Flying on Sunday, landed to swat a bloody insect that was hassling me (bloody things, the only downside of the good weather ). Straight back into the air to carry on doing low flips at about 10ft with the Rappy, flipped, headspeed dropped got her back over but hit the deck, bent flybar and spindle. Yepp you guessed it, still in normal. Still the blades survived, came off lightly really.

In future I will be dropping the throttle curve in normal dramatically so it is obvious if I have not gone up to idle-1

not had alot of sucess in the last couple of weeks with loops

all with T-Rex did a loop came out the bottom with the thing going sideways straight at me missed me by about 10 feet but it went straight into the pit area, fortunately I was the only one there (had someone else sitting in my car) it was inverted about 6 feet up before I was able to pull it pack up in the air and get full control back, narrow escape.

The next incident 2 days later, loop were getting better and better then I got cocky finished the loop nose in about 4 foot up across the field trouble was I pulled the nose up too much forward flight stopped she went sideways I paniced wrong stick imput. dumped her in at full bore.

long list of parts, most of which I had as spares from the last one, but im still smiling and loving it, so gonna keep practising
            All the best
