Raptor 30 v2 to Raptor 50

Hi all,

Im looking at doing the above conversion as i have just been offered a os 50 quite cheap

The question is i have a 86t main gear on heli would this be ok or would i have to get a different main gear and pinion or just use what i have on my 39pro

Also i will get

1x 50 boom
1x 600mm blades
1x tail boom supports
1x cooling fan/hub
1x 50 belt
1x engine mount

Is there anything else

I have now done this not taken to 50 size but took a binned my 30 size motor in with os50 sx changed the fan engine mount and clutch pinion makes it go a damm site better with no power loss on climb outs good fun to fly try it and see barry

you'll want the 50 rudder rod with the 50 boom
just put the 50 pinion in it
use the 30 main gears you don't need the driven tail from the 50

You can run either the 85T main gear with a 10T pinion or the optional 96T with the 11T pinion, the latter just shifts the motor power band and allows a slightly faster recovery from any bogging of the head speed. The standard 9T/86 would not really suit a 50. I'd personally run the driven tail rotor auto gear (the white one) as it nice to have tail control when in an auto.
A boom mounted tail servo is handy, as you won't have to re-adjust the tail control rod length when altering belt tension.

i have the auto rotation gear already so what gear and pinion shall i get, i really didnt want to change the 86t main gear but which should i get especisaaly the pinion

You might as well put the Titan boom, belt, and rudder control rod on if you are doing this mod now. They are practically the same price and will allow 620mm blades in the future if you wish.

you used to be able to buy a conversion kit, i havent got a clue if you still can, this would be the cheaper option if you can

IM buying things individually just the main gear and pinion i need to see if i have to change

Im buying everything seperate but i need to know if i can use the 86t main gear i have on at the moment i dont know what pinion is on my 30v2 at mo and need to know if i have to change this to

update:

Right i have ordered everyhting i need to upgrade engine i have got boom and belt for a titan struts everything but still dont know what gearing i need can i keep the same or do i have to go to:

85t Main Gear
10t Pinion for os50 with mp5 sb pipe

85 + 10 is the norm. I'd go with that.

will that fit on a raptor 30v2 main shaft also will the 96t/11t gear fit on the raptor 30v2 main shaft as the 96t/11t is for the titan does it have same main shaft
