That's the fella Tony, A dry joint on the deans connector on the regulator for me.

Exactly the same happened to me a week before 3D Scotland and wrecked my heli back then.

I will be looking at a different method of fastening/joining the power supply rather than soldering the narrow/thin guage wires on the Align 2 in 1.

Had it myself Tim in the past so i ended up ditching external regs altogether and running the spectrum receiver with reg built in. Zero issues since. Either put thicker wire on the align reg or get some of the new 'deans' things from fastlads that fit over existing deans plugs but give u something to grab and pull!

Sounds a bad one but as always nothing gets u down

          Rock on!

            Unlucky Tim

Have you looked at EC3 connectors? I have just changed over to them and wont be looking back. I never had a problem with deans luckily, but with EC3 you wont be able to solder a dry joint, the joint is always visible so you can check it on your pre-flight checks (unlike deans), and they are easier to pull apart without pulling on the wire at all even with my over-sized hands.

Shame about that failure. Did u rub shoulders with Jas by any chance. He's had a torrid weekend just everything kept going wrong with his machines

                Chin up things get better
