ESC Recommendations Needed

Hi all,

Last night I managed stupidly to blow the BEC in my Align ESC (I have a Trex 500). I can't find an Align replacement locally but can replace it with a TURNIGY Plush 60a.

Can anyone advise if this is ok. The motor I have is the stock 500L.

As long as its the same amps as the old esc and is programmable, should be fine.

Hey.

You could even use this as a good excuse to go slightly higher on the ESC's amp rating to allow future upgrading to a hotter motor as your skill level improves.
But generally I would do as mentioned above and not go below what was already fitted, at the same time don't go too much higher either.

hi darren shame about that how did you manage to do that . i have a spare 3a bec if you want but not sure if that will do hopefully some one else will advise.

Has the turnigy got a soft start???

I am sure turnigy esc does have a soft start as it's programable via a card or the have the new elec card.
