  • Phoenixtech TT360 Up Close

    Hey Folks

I'm putting together a Phoenixtech TT360. LOOK HERE

I will see what this heli and company have to offer.

    What is interesting is:

    • Use of Scorpion Motors + speed controllers (supplied in combo)
    • Option to fly 360 or 325 blades
    • 3S to 5s possible

I am very interested to see if this heli will do what people claim. Will it do 10 mins plus (15 i've heard). Or is it just another small electric.

I am building a using the following:

    • Phoenixtech servos
    • Phoenixtech Gyro
    • Phoenixtech motor/esc (re badged scorpion)

I have been looking at replacing my Trex 450 for some time. Will this be it?

Had a good lok at Craigs at the 3d cup and is a nice looking little heli, and flies really well.
Myself and Steffan did a double demo flight, me with my 450 pro and steff with this heli and it was great fun and the tt360 batt out lasted mine

          I must admit,

I really like this helicopter, Not flown one, but seen one flown and held one. It looks like it flies really good, and the quality of the materiel is top notch too.

          Regards

Well the components look like they have been manufactured properly. The finish on the parts is also good.

A 6 cell set up could work well on the TT 1300mah-1500mah packs would keep costs low flight time and performance high.

My honest opinion meant constructively you need to get rid of the Hobby Wing Esc's and replace them with a quality unit that could do it justice.

                  Hey Lex

The Hobbywing esc seems to work well in other helis. Like the 70 in the 6HV. I know they are not the best

if people want to use their own esc, they can buy the kit from us, and buy electric themself, we are not like other company force customers buy everything in one go, anyway from what we test, the esc handle the job quite well in the last 12months of testing.

With Russ Deakin testing all our manchine using stock kit, I can not see there is any problem. If there is any problems, we will sort it out before release. lol

                            325mm setup vs 350mm ?

I am curious if anyone has flown this heli in the 325mm 3cell setup and then compared with the way it flies with the 350mm blades / 4cell setup ?

I went back and read through Callum's thread but he never added a flying review.

I have seen Asid's reviews with the Rondo FBL unit but I am curious what it's like with a flybar and the larger blades and what headspeads it's running, what flight times etc.

                              Hey Trillian

I flew the heli with 325mm on 3s

                              I converted to 360 FBL

I am going back to FB this weekend on this heli and will try 4s

I will have feedback next week hopefully
