I live very close to Farnborough and the aircraft fly over my house while practicing and displaying... I am however a little disapointed with this years flying displays... F22 went home on Monday, and there was relatively little flying today (although I did like the A380, Vulcan, Lanc and Red Arrows.

Compared to the last show when the skies were positively choc-a-bloc with aircraft displaying it was somewhat slow. Perhaps its as a result of the recession etc but I believe 45 billion dollars of orders were placed over the 5 days of trade!

Dont think it was flying at the show today. They did have a chinook fly over though which was very cool .

I went on Friday but wish I'd have gone earlier and seen the F22.

Mind you, it was good to see the Vulcan fly again - I believe its days may be numbered - and it's always good to see the F16 and F18 tearing up the sky!

Always good to see the Hurricane, Lancaster and an ME-109 too.

I went to RIAT last weekend and it was the absolute show stopper. After it had blown half the crowd packed up to go home.

Cool to go to an airshow after a long time (last time i went was 15 years ago), back then nothing had delta wing and canards, now it seems the norm - the typhoon, griffen, mirage 2000 etc etc, although the raptor showed them all up

I used to love the Airshows as a kid.. I used to remember they used to be covered on TV.. shame they dont anymore!

I saw the Vulcan do two flyovers my home in northampton last weekend.. it was thousand off feet up and it was still amazing.. only could imagine how much off a presence it was close up!!

I went to Waddingtons this year, was very dissapointed, I think because I work with aircraft everyday I get immune to it all! It was like going to work, but with lots of people there!! In 5 years of working with Typhoon, I've never seen one in full fit like that one!

The grain is showing a little due to the patchy cloud challenging my modest telephoto lens. It should look fine at any sensible desktop resolution though.
