Quick UK Header Tank - How does it go together?!

Brand me stupid, I deserve it But how on earth does the header tank go together? I've identified all the parts, but which way does the rubber seal go in and which way round does the metal nipple go?

Colned ends push into the header leaving the flat ends on show externally.

pointy end of the bung goes inside tank, thing the gromet only fits on the bung one way round, put the gromet in first then the bung

thinking about it i think the gromet has a smaller lip on one side, this goes inside the tank
