  • Gryphon Pin Flag Switch

Had a small crash today so thought I would add one of these while on the bench.

Great bit of kit but I have a query. When I connect the flight pack with the switch in the off position (pin in) the light is on??? There is no power to the elecs though.

When the pin is removed I get what I was expecting

Anyone else tried one of these?

Just been reading the blurb on it and it says the blue light indicates when the battery is switched on so maybe your switch is faulty?

Batt is connected but there is no power, just the light. I would of thought the light would go out. You can see on the pics when there is powere to the elecs by the sat receiver bottom right.

i'd imagine the light is only to say the battery is connected to prevent you from leaving the lipo plugged in and going flat

Do you need the Gryphon Pin Flag? Or can you just use the bind plug?

..because im not really sure what plugs in where now!?

Paul, the switch port on the AR7100 uses the two outside wires on a normal rx port. If you short them the unit is turned off. I'm hoping I can replicate that with this switch. It works, just the light on is a worry. What current would a small LED like that draw per hour?

Just watched the Finless Vid on it.

The AR7100 is top banana, shame they dont have a 6v one though as I dont neeeed 8v tbh but dont want to use a reg.

Spektrum AR7100 7 channel heli receiver. The AR7100 is specially designed for demanding helicopter applications

Scroll down and it was the Connections vid, turned out to be a Finless one.
