Looking for some help with Dataxchange, loaded the CD, got the V1.8 update from Macgreggor, also loaded the driver for USB/Serial dongle.
Trying to upload from DSX9 to the PC, but keep getting "corrupt data" messages, so the software is seeing the radio, the activity window indicates data is being uploaded.
It will let you have about 4 attempts & then the com port times out, is there anything special about the lead that goes from the radio to the dongle, I am using a buddy lead, is it pin to pin or should they be crossed.

    Help !!!!!!

Still waiting for a reply from Rotarsoft who put this together.

So has anyone got a JR Buddy trainer cord, if so could you do me favour and just check your lead with a meter, I need to know if the tips of the plug are connected together, or does the tip of end connect to the main part of the plug on the other end.

      Hi Hellraiser,

The DataXchange was designed by my son - PM me with your e-mail, and I'll get him to get in touch. You'll need to hurry though, 'coz he's off to Romania for the European champs in a couple of days time....

If all you are doing is backing up the model memories, then setting the Tx type to "unlisted" should work. This just does a straight data dump and restore.

If you want to edit the memories, set the Tx type to PCM9 type 2.

The DSX-9 is a variation on the later PCM-9, and although not identical, it usually works. Having said that, on a fresh install, mine also gave the corrupt data error. However, after I'd tried it several times, it suddenly started to work perfectly, and has continued to do so ever since!

It seems as if it needs to "learn" the difference between a PCM-9 and a DSX-9! Once its twigged, its fine! But it does sometimes take several goes before it recognises it!

The problem is that Mark has to rely on JR to let him have the "memory map" of the Tx to enable it to work. They never provided this for the DSX-9. However, it will usually work if you persevere with it a bit!
