  • What do you fly?

    Hi All,
    Interested to know what every one flys in the UK, and else where?

    To get the ball rolling----

    I live in Sydney, Australia
    Fly at a very modest field

    My fleet include----

    Raptor--V1-30-TT39
    Raptor--V2-30-lots of upgrades {why? --just for the fun of it}
    Raptor--V2-60---OS70, 601, gv1
    JR--Ergo-50
    JR--Ergo-60
    And a Hornet
    Been flying for around 13 months now,
    Always learning

    Cheers All
    Planes are for people who can\'t fly Helis

    Well I only wish I had the room for loads of heli's, I start off with what I've had
    1. Kyosho Nexus 30
    2. Raptor 30V1
    3. Raptor 50V1
    4. Futura SE

    Finally onto my Fury Extreme 90, about to sell this when the Robbe Milli Pro is released. Then I'll buy either a Caliber 30 / Sceadu 50 Evo or Second Hand Futura SE if I can get a good deal.

    The field I fly at is relatively large we've had upto 4 heli's flying at once, not in the same airspace

    And I've been flying now for about two years, love it to bits and its my area of sanity

    I can do entry level 3D, flips, rolls, inverted hover, auto's my flying was really picking up with the Futura SE and I found the Fury not quite running on rails for those that are Robbe fans will know what I mean. So I'm ditching Xcell and moving back too Robbe.
    Cheers
    Stuart

      In the same club as Stuart. Been flying just over a year.
      Raptor V1
      Futura SE
      This last 6months seems to have been nothing but problems and "fixing".
      Not progressed as much as I'd hoped with the flying

                Hey Brian,

                How's it going, hows the Futura SE doing, upload some pics you should call over to our field one weekend.

                Or a day next week, if your at home. I'm off next week so I'll be calling at the field one day weather permitting.
                Cheers

                        Hi All,

                        Ive been flying for about 3 or so years now, albeit in a fairly limited way for the last year or so due mainly to long term illness rather than anything else.

                        My fleet consists of the following;

                        MS Hornet CP;
                        Pretty much bone stock and hasnt flown for quite a while.

                        Raptor 30V1;
                        Irvine 39, Zimmerman 30/50 Quiet pipe and almost all the TT / Quick UK upgrades available, flight pack is all futaba with GY502, GV1, S9001 (Throttle) S9202's (Cyclics and Pitch) and S9450 on the tail.

                        Raptor 50V1;
                        OS50 SXH, Zimmerman 30/50 Quiet Pipe, and not so many upgrades (Yet ) This heli hasnt been flown at all yet and needs finishing to get it air worthy as it was one of the last brand new 50V1 kits available.

                        Raptor 50V2;
                        Webra 50GTH, Hatori 50 size 3d pipe and again some TT and QUK upgrades. It has the same flight pack as the 30V1 above. This model started life as a 30 V1 and was progressively upgraded by its previous owner, first to a 50v1 and then with the exception of the head to a V2 as it has a quick uk V1 head block, flybar carrier and head button.

                        Raptor 60V2;
                        OS70 SZH, Zimmerman 90 size Quiet pipe and again the same flight pack as the 30V1 above. I had this heli in the early days when they were available as the V1 with a big bag of spares to change it to V2 spec, thus it was built as a V2 from new. It also started life with an OS61 SXH W/C which met its demise in a crash a few months back, it is currently being rebuilt with the new OS70 and larger Quiet Pipe.

                        Raptor 90V2;
                        OS91 SXH (Non C Spec), Zimmerman 90 size Quiet pipe with a flight pack consisting of S9001 (Throttle), S9350 (Pitch), S9252's (Cyclics) and a S9450 on the tail, it is also equipped with a GY502 and a GV1.

                        All my helis have 149DP 9ch receivers and 2400Mah Sanyo / Ripmax nicad packs, they all also use Enya 3 plugs and are all controlled by the same 9 ZHP WC2 Transmitter

                        I currently fly with the Bath Model Helicopter Club, for information please see www.bmhc.co.uk

                        Cheers,

                        Pete.

                          Pete,

                          I had a quick look at your club site, nice looking. I noticed a guy's name Ned Bourton.

                          I think I bought my old Futura SE from him, did he have one ? (Since sold)
                          Cheers

                            Stuart,

                            Yeap, one and the same mate, in fact he had 2 identicle SE's at one point, then he moved on to millie 2's with C specs and MP2's, now he flies Rappy 50V2' and Futura Nova's with C specs and MP2's.

                            He is a very good friend of mine so I'll ask him to register here too.

                            Cheers,

                            Pete.

                              Thought the name was too unique not to be the same, it was a great heli sadly miss it, I may get another if I loose faith in the Fury.
