  • lube new bearings

Just about to put new bearings into the os50 but is it worth putting a bit of one way bearing grease in the larger bearing as the smaller one already has a little lube in, I know there getting well oiled when running but maybe just to help it along its way .

The rear bearing should have no shields. If it has then remove them. Don't use grease as it is too heavy and thick. Before final assembly just put some thin oil on the bearing so it is not dry when you spin the engine for the first time.

Stick the liner in with 30 minute epoxy. Get an old clutch shoe and put 2 turns of electrical tape around the edge. After sticking in the new liner push the shoe in to press the liner tight in the bell. When dry in the morning you will have the correct gap between the clutch and bell.

Yup, did this recently to my 600LE (old liner was too thin so replaced with raptor 90 liner) and it bites just above idle now. Lovely.
