  • Governor problem

Just got my 55 back from Ripmax after the cage collapsed in rear ball race; big thanks to Ripmax of Enfield btw and especially to Hai good man and fitted engine back in and yesterday had first few tanks to break in.

Anyhow when engaging governor (multigov) the throttle servo doesnt hold it solid and is revving engine up and down. Get home last night and decided right must be sensor and so I realign it to a tee. Test it tonight and its doing the same thing. Just to checkI change plug and set v curve out of governor mode; yep no problem nothing wrong with engine.

Funny enough remember having very similar problem on revlock 10 many years ago and think only solution was to replace.

Made sure batteries all charged on lipo; disconnected leads and reconnected just in case of static.

I havent got a clue WT hellpppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp

a freind of mine had this tonight with a csm rev lock and it was the sensitivity set to high.
I dont know if multi gov has this feature but may be worth a try.

Cheers mate I'll have a good read of paperback instructions and see if I can adjust. Thinking its either that or sensor lead is dodgy.

Will post back to let you know.

A friend of mine has an intermittent hunting issue with a heli for a while, fitted with a RevMax limiter. His throttle servo is a trusty old Futaba 3001.

I think (could stand corrected here) that he fixed the fault last weekend by dropping the voltage on his regulator from 6V to 5.7V - still plenty of volts to run the fancy digital cyclic servos but just backed-off enough to make the throttle servo behave.
