I had a 700E Helichris conversion it was an excellent machine, but two things beat me, a. I couldent fly it to the limit and it was never pushed much beyond a trot in heli terms and b. I crashed it just once with a bill of almost £500 which finished my dreams of big heli's!

Now got two very much older birds and made loads of progress because I'm relaxed and enjoying my cheaper flying Stilton

If you are concerned about the cost of spares and fuel, maybe you should not have either!!

now you must consider that mt turbulence in 13 months has had no spares fitted
and my sdx50 has has 1 auto bearing in 12 months
the 600 i had was totaly worn out in 18 months

i'm not concerned about the cost, its the fact that every time i used it something broke/failed

if i was worried about cost i wouldn't have a turbulence or the vario r22 that i've got

Mine hasn't cost me a penny in 'worn out' bits in 9 months. It's been significantly rebuilt once last January after a major 'arrival' with terra-firma but nothing has actually failed from general use to the point of worry. Bits have become a bit worn maybe or a bit slack, but not to the point where I'm desperate to start changing things.

I'm no Align fanboy and am far more interested in JRs, Hirobos, Xcels and other stuff, but I have to say the 700 is a trouble-free work-horse for me that just does what it says on the tin.

HeHe.. mines due to crashing most of the times but I did have a episode 2 wks back were I spanked over a £100 trying to sort a problem on the 500(which didnt work!), and then crashed it again on its first pack afterwards and had to spend even more money sorting it!!
