  • dumb thing to do.

i was so engrosed into getting my 600 ready for the weekend .changed front and rear bearings and straightened the pitch control arm, if i told you how i bent it you would only laught ,did a quick check on the elecs put everything away but last night when i went to practice on the sim realised i had left the tx on ,opened the back to see a nicely swollen lipo
i have managed to revive it but dont know if it's worth useing as it is still a bit puffy good thing is wings and wheels sunday so should be able to pick one up . i suppose i'am lucky thats all that happened.tried another bat and the tx is fine.

I knew someone would ask.well i met up with my mate cliff we went over to the scrubbs to see who was there but no one was flying so we ended up over at tollworth where we met up with squeaky pete, dan, nick and a few others i asked if someone would buddy up with me as i wanted to try a flip with the 600 so dan was volunteered but before that i said i needed to tune the engine as i had put a new pipe on so off i went to the flight line
flew round a bit dan asked how high i was comfortable with so i started a climb and got quite high so dan said that should be ok when we buddy up but i just did a flip anyway but when i had leveled off the engine stalled so now the heli is in free fall at about 50/60ft i did'nt panic and did my first auto landed reasonably well but just tipped over in the long grass and feared for the worse but when i got it home the only damage was a bent pitch control arm .now why did it stall .this is the dumb thumb moment i forgot to switch to idle up so when i was inverted i was cutting the throttleopps

---yes but i was doing my first flip threw caution to the wind and almost ended up- with egg on my face as they say. but i still managed a couple of flips later with my raptor 30 but very sluggish though so upgrade to a 50 is well on its way

Nothing stupid about that, you did well to save the heli.
