Was into gliders, slope racing ones mainly for
10 years thats how I met ade law.
Then I tried scuba diving.
That lasted 2 years before I
decided i'd rather not die by drowning.
Got into helis but have a love hate relationship
with them. Through all the years since I was 10
i have had a passion for angling, match fishing mainly.
i drift from both as & when stresses of life dictate
Rocks (geology) and Airfix as a kid
Boats and planks as a teenager.
Electric guitars, eventually became a bass player.
Motorbikes, women, kung fu, yoga.
Rock n Roll became less of a hobby more a way of life.
Long gap here, no hobbies just music and sound engineering.
Target shooting, mainly HFT.
Back went, big time, no more running around.
Online gaming Runescape, Deicide, WoW ...
Offline gaming, flight sims, RTS.
Back to modelling.
Relived Airfix for a bit.
More flight sims.
Return to RC after 40 years away.
Dicovered RC helis, abandoned all hope .......

I've found a way to halt reckless heli spending ... Go Broke.
Karting about 5 years
Sailing for 14 year have a day skipper qualification, loved it nearly dead once.
a bit of rc in between mostly racing multi hulls.
Diy in a big way.

Use to race RC cars back through my teens until i was 16 and discovered motorbikes, woman and beer. Have a few trophies from those days still racing that is....lol
Cars was always a big parts of my life also, cosworths to be precise.
Also had a spell pistol shooting before they were banned.
Helis started after i sold my bike about 3 years ago and never looked back

Motorcycle sidecar racing for abut 5 years, ran out of money. Played rugby for about 15 years stopped because the injuries where take to long to get over. Power kiteing / kite surfing broken ribs caused by surf board in the back and 3 months of work with a hole in my leg dragged out of my buggy. Couple of years flying and building planks and now well and truly into heli's.
Well, was bought a Tamyia Grasshopper (back in the 80's) by my dad and raced that for a good few years along with a Kyosho Optima and Schumacher Cat. Then was air cadets mad for a few years and started off doing my PPL doing 20 hours courtesy of an RAF Flying Scholarship.
Many years passed while I was mountainbike mental and had a nice little collection of Kona's, all was fine until I saw my first Nitro RC car in the works carpark, lasted 3 weeks before buying one... Went to a certain Heli shop in St Helens (Vario anyone?) to buy some fuel for the car and spoke with a very dismissive owner who told me I couldn't afford a heli... Stood in the shop and called Steve Webb's and ordered the full bhuna on my mobile, paid for my fuel and thanked the owner for his time...
So, a Raptor .30 V2 and all of the basic kit arrived and was built in a hotel room while I was working away. Kinda played with that for a few years and never progressed beyond the hover. Sold up and bought more RC Cars which were raced locally for a while - Monster Trucks, 1/8th Rallycross and 1/5 Large Scale off-road. Found a local club and learnt to fly planks over the course of a few weeks, sold the cars again and branched back into heli's (they just keep coming back to me...) Eventually moved to Scotland and picked up a Sceadu .50 and a T Rex 450 SEv2. Found Waterfoot heli club and the rest is history...
Oh, I just bought a Scooby too and that's very efficient at draining funds from a given account.
I used to race mountain bikes then got bored so moved into observed trials, competeing in the national champs as it was against the two martins, scott domett and rob warner, then finished and just did street riding for about 8 years.
Realised how dangerous it was i got back in to xc riding, aswell as RC Drifting. I competed in the UK drift champs and the Drift Euros with backing from CML RACING until I decided politics ruled the way, so I got into doing demos at car shows then one day though thats it I have had enough so sold all and bought my Align Trex 450 SE and will not look back as I am now looking to buy a Raptor 30 asap.
What a mixed bag
Better add the rest Moto x for few years.
Downhill moutain biking (Steve Peat was a kid then)
Skiing been all over with this and still go.
Raptor 30v2
Skya 500 x 2 one to be Scale Bo 105
Copter X450 x 2
Trex 250 x 2
Mcpx
Raven wing.
Suhkoi
Anx Floater
Radjet 800
Gymnastics and Trampolining
Swimming
BMXing (skatepark)
Break dancing
Graffiti (art not mindless vandalism)
Dj-ing
Raving (and everything that goes with that - still recovering)
Computer gaming, Unreal Tournament mainly
Computer building and overclocking (freon and water/peltier cooled ones!)
Mountain biking (every now and then I dust it off and scare myself at how unfit I am)
Car modifying (still do this a bit)
Golf (still play and throw clubs)
Attained a decent level in all these things but never been the best at anything which destroys me a little bit more everyday as I'm stupidly competitive
Now I'm into helis and I know I'll never be the best but something makes me keep spending money on them and going to the field to try..... must love it!

To illegal ones in the early years 89-91 around Pompey and anywhere in Hampshire, you know the coup, meet in a carpark and 1000 cars drive to a farm in the middle of nowhere. Then Club UK in wandsworth later on probably 93-95 but my memory fails me a bit.... too many doves probably.
RC cars from 16 to 19, very early helis (concept 30 dx), planes, cars, booze, women, settled down, wife, kids, broke,rc helis returned
pretty much sums up my life in a sentence.
Not bad for a Life Sentence.
