struggling to find ys50st

HI everyone some of you may have heard my tt53 sadly died on tuesday and since then I have spent many hours on the interweb and phone to find me a YS50ST and im still struggling to find a ys50st does any body know of a U.K shop that has an actual stock of this highly hard to find engine.

I do not want to deal with Ebay or any other country for that matter

before I have you guys saying buy this instead I cant afford the ys56 as i would have to buy an exhaust too unless some one would offer a hardly used combo for very cheap.

I have heard that this engine is being phazed out but parts will be stocked at the usual stockists for quite some time so I am not put off by this.

I'd be surprised if you found one in stock new as the 56 came out quite a while back now.... Go for an OS50 Hyper if you cant afford a new pipe, or a 55 and get a new pipe at a later date.

Yup, pretty well too apparently.

So does the OS50 Hyper.

Yup .. it will you have to lean it off a little more than normal , but apart from that they do work ... If you get a 55 exhaust .. .thats when you notice the difference

yeah but mikes boss said he cant sell it lol would have been an ideal engine and pipe as it only ever been hovered. lmfao Im still interested mike.

it aint just been hovered ... I was going to go YS56 , but it would have meant new pipe as well ... so changed my mind Adie ... What Ian means is I dont tune my engines to within a breathe of boiling them lmao .. and no YS56 wont fit an OS pipe Ian .. different fitments

I had a YS 50 years ago and the mounting holes are exactly the same as the OS 50. I would be very surprised indeed if the 56 was any different.

It's only the YS90 size muffler fittings that are different from the OS engines as far as I'm aware.

I did speak to elite models earlier and they are going to put out a few phone calls if they have no luck an o.s.55 it will be. my fingers are crossed as I've got my heart set on the ys50. and if the exhaust fits the56 I would favour that over the 55 as parts are half the price and im told ys service is second to none.

I asked the other day from someone I know and they said they mounted different from an OS one ...

Just checked and FL show there 55 exhausts fit both 56 and 55 .... hmm who wudda thought lol...

Ian .. only thing is running it with a 50 size pipe is you do not get n e where near the amount of power as if using it with a proper pipe

yeah i understand that power would be restricted due to a lower capacity pipe but it gets me back in the air with a lower cost. I can get the exhaust on my next payday. thanks guys. still gonna hold on a wee while and see if we can find the 50.
