    That's a drag! I would have thought it would be cushioned more in all that.

    Hope you can find the cause and prevent it happening again.

        It was, tbh that isnt half as bad as I had thought. The damage is minimal, considering how it went in. The only damamge cause was by the blades hitting the canopy.

        If that was on grass it would have been a different story.

            £79 delivered that adds up to. Shame main blades are such a price as the parts themselves only cam up to £19.39 for;

            Electronics tray
            Break away tabs
            Flybar cage
            Torque tube
            Main grip arms

            Will have to use the black canopy it came with, which will be great for orientation and wont replace the lipo.

              I had a similar crash-parts list recently when I did something stupid in backwards flight with my Hirobo evo 50 and the ground got in the way before I could get a clue.

              It was going backwards so you'd think first on the list would be boom, but the boom was fine. It was blades (nice new NHPs), flybar and one paddle, a link on the head, upper canopy mounts and the rx battery tray (the canopy got pulled off and tugged on the battery tray in the process).

                  Had to add some maingrip arms but that is it as far as I can tell, loving the parts prices for the Velo, an example is the battery tray @ £1.80

                  Definitely going to invest £3 in an alarm though.

                      Definitely slept well tonight, still frustrating that it was a mechanical failure and not me but at least it was recovered and will be back i the air today! (cheers Mike! Swashbucker)...

                        Glad you didn't do too much damage, and that was a lucky find, that rape is awful stuff. Any links to the finder as I looked a little while ago and couldn't find anything at a reasonable price that looked any good?

                            Almost everything ordered and not much change from £100 after adding all those little extras

                            Shame about the canopy though as with the black/orange canomod one, it is going to be even darker in those clouds. An all black heli in grey clouds is going to be fun!

                              Paul, if you’re ordering a number of these then please put me down for one. Seems I got lucky finding mine in the crop yesterday.
