  • CC Bec PRO???

Got one off these on my 6HV but on HF I'm reading a lot of failures with people running these on 12s.

Although I realize its prob the same as with Align, cos they sell so many you will hear of more failures but it has me thinking, is there a way to wire it up only on 6s or not or is best to just go with something like a Western Robotics Hercules Super or similar?

    Any thoughts?

I have one of these cc becs but I'm not chancing it. I'm going to use a 2 cell 7.4v rx lipo to power my align bec; I've read the same thread on hf & I'm not risking 44.4v on my 12 cell 600 frying all my electrics - why take the risk?

    My flying toys:
    Blade MCX
    Trex 500 esp
    Trex 600e 12s 44.4v

I bet there are more people not having failures than are thats why I asked the question if I can wire it up as 6s instead of how it is at the mo.

If not then I'm not to sure what I will do tbh.

I think this is what Mike had on his 700e, which fired all the servo's on its second or third use. I'm sure he'll confirm either way....

I've had a WR Bec thingy on my Trex 500 ever since the std ESC let me down big time and it's been rock solid on 5s can't pass any comment on how any of their gear works with 12s though.

To be honest I always think at those sort of voltages there is a lot to be said by a completely different circuit powering the radio gear

            Hi Ben

You are using two 6s packs in series to power the esc/motor. To use 6s to power the bec, simply leave the black wire where it is and move the red wire to the join of the two 6s packs...

pretty much how i got mine on my 6HV. i run one of our emax bec's, and made a small 'joining' wire to go between the pos & neg of the lipos you are joining together, and tagged the neg from the bec to that, and tagged the pos of the bec to the pos of the ESC, so the bec is powered by one of the packs...

Think I will go the 6s route then now you have confirmed it can be done.

I have not read one report of a failure on a 6s setup so that will be cool then
