I don't think an MM will cut it you need a cockpit SX min. Multiplex is great stuff, but you'll be the only one using it for helis appart from me that is. The Sx is better than a DX7 IMO :-) but I'm biased!

      hello, im from torquay,

i fly at newton abbot heli club, if you looking at a new transmitter, your probably best getting a jr dsx9 or just keep an eye out for a jr9x2 with 2.4 module maybe, this is what most people use down the club, so most peope can use it with there eyes shut, your better of joining a club because you can learn an awful lot, hope this helps.

      cheers chris

Love my DX7... had it for over two years and still cant find a reason to upgrade- it just does everything I need, a great little workhorse thats performed flawlessly. If you do go the DX route please be aware that although the DX7SE is the all singing, all dancing higher resolution model, you would need an appropriate Rx to utilise that resolution, ie AR7100 or above. Plus there is no trainer port to buddy box or connect up to a sim.

IMHO you cant get better for the money with a DX7

No Trainer Port on the DX7SE but the vanilla DX7 DOES have one. Just to clarify.

The DX7 is a good tx you say you have £150 saved and in the post somebody has said Ail's will do one for £175 so if you keep saving a little more you could go down that route, I would also get a join a club you will learn a load in a very short time being a member of a club it was the best thing I ever did.

thats not bad, i would change the servos in the long run when you get to flying around cuz theyt not the best servos for a 60 sized model
