    Fast Lad Performance

As seen on fast lads, cheep helicommand or just expensive rubbish? Anyone used one, or any KDS electrics? My better half is considering learning to fly, thought it might be a good insurance policy for that price, considering i need a gyro anyway to put another heli in the air...?

Im familiar with helicommand and the pros and cons, just questioning KDS tbh.

    hi

not looked at the KDS, but i used helicamand for a short time , if i were u i would go with the proven unit ,& u no all the ins & outs of it ,so setup real quick ,no hassle from the heli & your better half wont be beating u with the blades as you try to get the the unit working right .

      Hi,
I use Flymentor KDS on my Blade 400, I found it a bit tricky to set up as the software for the PC won't install on Vista but will on Windows XP and Windows 7. The Manual is a bit confusing but there is lots of help on various forums.
Flymentor have now brought out a hand held programmer that connects to it now so that should make things a lot easier, Fastlads also sell these I believe.
My back garden is very cramped and the Flymentor system holds the heli well within a ten foot area, even with a light breez the heli holds well and is very stable.
Once setup Flymentor works very well especially in confined areas whereas Co Pilot 2 and Alien Command like plenty of open space so that they can see the horizon.
I use all three types of the systems and find that they do help in getting a begginer flying when set up correctly.

where did you find the most helpful setup info for it - there are so many and a lot of them seem to contradict each other?

Having trouble setting mine up for stabilisation.

I found the most help on this forum, a lot of useful information from "Ivor" and "Pril"
What system are you using is it Flymentor or Co-pilot 2
