  • Keyring cam footage- some proof that I really do fly :P

Here is some initial footage- I think there may be some interference from the motor, so I may need to play around with the mounting position.

The holiday park is disused - I see that i fly over it quite a bit lol.

Hi, nice footage. The problem is vibration - try insulating the camera with some foam padding and tighten it up against the frame, if you have it loose the vibration makes things worse!

    Here's a pic of mine:

To set the date, you need to create a text file and save it as TAG.txt, then copy it into the root directory of your cam, not the dcim folder.

        In that file, put:

        [date]
        2010/05/31
        12:14:00

with the date and time being current when you copy the file into your cam.
Life's a bitch and then you fly!!

any chance you could put that in English please ))

I read the instructions- how do I create a text file- I tun XP. I feel all thick now lol.

I am not convinced the waving on the picture is vibration- I made a mount with an old foam speaker baffle plug, fixed a thin carbon sheet across the top to make it flat then use velcro and a back up loose cable tie

just open notepad and copy the three lines in (but change the date and time, and rememer it is american format). Then choose 'save as' from the file menu and save it somewhere easy (like the desktop) as TAG.txt.

Then copy that file into the removable drive that appears when you connect your cam.

I mounted it under the front landing gear bar, which is actually pretty close to the motor- I did wonder about mounting it on top of the canopy, but got worried about the damage it might do if it came off. I'll try and get a pic of it mounted.

I have just tried making a new hi tec mount - it was crap I used a 3mm carbon rod and epoxied a carbon plate on the end and mounted the rod through the frame- a al Police helicopter look- it looked really cool, but the vibration was awful- shame really.

Back to plan A for the mounting.
